Our Passion
Our utmost passion is that each person accepts God’s plan of salvation. There is nothing more important than this. That decision is especially meaningful in the passing of life. Both Barbara and I had spouses that went to be with Jesus. We have experienced joy and peace knowing that they are is His presence. We desire that all should have this same joy; whether it is in the passing of a loved one or in watching a friend or loved one begin life anew by accepting God’s gift of salvation.
We all leave a legacy for the generations that follow us. What legacy we leave is up to us. Barbara and I have a combined family of 8 children; one of them is now with Jesus. We also have 31 grandchildren. We want to be all that we can be for the Kings of Kings and desire that our example is one worthy for our loved ones to follow.
Our Ministry
In 1999, Wayne took two of his grandsons to the country of Haiti. While there, God gave Wayne a burden for both the spiritual and physical conditions of the people of that land. Wayne shared the condition of Haiti and his vision of how the country could be changed under the leadership of Men for Missions International and OMS International. The two organizations placed a five-year plan into action.
This plan would reach the country of Haiti with the Gospel by expanding the radio signal of Radio 4VEH, The Evangelistic Voice of Haiti, to cover the entire country. The plan also included the mammoth goal of distributing 250,000 solar-powered radios to the rural people, many of whom could neither read nor write. This project was known as Operation Saturation. Sonny Solar was created at this time as a tool to encourage children, along with their families, to pray for and support missions.
Since the inception of OPERATION SATURATION, Barbara and I have been involved in raising the funds necessary to accomplish this monumental goal. We traveled the United States; north to south and east to west, sharing the opportunity for children and adults to become involved in prayer and giving to the work of 4VEH in Haiti. We could often be seen in our motor home pulling the ‘Sonny Van’ as we traveled.
Since the project OPERATION SATURATION is completed, we still continue to be active in the support of the ministry of Radio 4VEH – by our gifts, in prayer, and by communicating with 4VEH supporters regarding the radio station’s ministry.
